Frassati Graduate Students and Young Adults

The Newman Center experience doesn’t just end with graduation!  Join the Graduate Student & Young Adult group and keep your faith growing!

The Newman Young Adult group plans and runs programs and events for graduate students, those recently graduated and young working professionals.  It’s a great way to stay connected to the community, make close friends, grow in faith, and have fun together around town.  Typical Grad events include potlucks, Café Newman (talent show), the annual Grad Retreat, community service projects, Theology on Tap, Drinks with Dominicans, and various supporting and mentoring roles within Newman undergraduate programming.

If you’re interested in learning more about the Young Adult / Grad group, contact frassati@uwnewman.org.  And be sure to register

Fall Retreat: To Praise, To Bless, To Preach

Please join Newman's Frassati Graduate Student and Young Adult Ministry for our Fall Retreat, "To Praise, To Bless, To Preach: Deepening Your Faith Through Dominican Spirituality," Sept 5 to 7, at Harbor Creek Lodge in Gig Harbor!

Learn about the four pillars of Dominican Spirituality - Prayer, Study, Community, and Apostolate - and find ways to apply them to our own lives. Grow your faith, become closer to Christ, and (like our Holy Father Dominic) set the world on fire with Christ’s love!!

The cost is $70 for the two night stay and four meals. Sign up by August 31! Register for the retreat at this link here, or contact Mikaela at mikaela@uwnewman.org for more info!

Eat, Pray, Agape

(or learn about Love, Pray, and then Eat is how the evenings actually go!)

Join Newman's Frassati Young Adults this summer on Thursdays at 7pm!! We will be learning more about friendship, love, and building healthy relationships within the hustle and bustle of modern city life.

For six Thursdays, we will begin the night reading from "Men, Women, and the Mystery of Love" by Edward Sri, unwrapping St. John Paul II’s "Love and Responsibility". Following the reading are small group discussions and a social hour!

We hope to see you there!
